Gatorade Tiger Moonshot Challenge

May 20, 2008

MAY 15, 2008

Have you seen the Tiger Woods commercial where he takes a drive off the moon? Well now consumers can participate in the Gatorade Tiger Moonshot Challenge Longest Drive Contest. It is taking place inside a 24 ft. Pacific Dome which is traveling to five US cities over the next month.

This completely custom dome, designed to look like the moon, made its premiere at Seaport Village in San Diego on May 15th.

The dome cover, branded with the Gatorade Tiger Thirst Quencher logo, was created by digitally printing artwork right onto the fabric. Inside, a Theatre Fabric liner was used to achieve the dark environment needed for the Tiger Woods golf simulator.

Visitors in San Diego, Dallas, Chicago, Miami and New York will get the chance to see how far they can drive a golf ball while having the experience of feeling like they are on the moon. For each city on this promotional tour, there will also be professional athletes and coaches participating in the challenge. The male and female winners, who emerge from the June 11th Championship in Times Square, will be given the opportunity to create their own “out of this world” experience worth up to $125,000. And, on behalf of the fans, Gatorade Tiger will donate $100,000 to the Tiger Woods Foundation for young people. Click here to watch a brief video of the premiere event featuring LaDainian Tomlinsone from the San Diego Chargers.

Zero Fest in Guadalajara, Mexico

May 13, 2008

APRIL 26, 2008

Our Mexican distributor, 360 Media, set up and hosted two event domes at Zero Fest in Guadalajara. This musical event, created by Coca-Cola to bring awareness to their “Coke Zero” brand, featured both Latin and international bands such as Fatboy Slim, The Mars Volta, Groove Armanda, Bright Eyes, Kinky, Zoe, Los Dynamite and Ximena Sarinana. More than 20,000 people attended the festival.

One of the domes was a 44 ft. decorated with a jungle theme that included faux trees and imitation grass. The experience was enhanced by playing nature and animal sounds inside. The other dome was a 60 ft. that was used to showcase a unique concept, developed by 360 Media, called the “Zero Bar.” This dome was packed with real ice blocks and kept cold inside by using air-conditioning as well as a double layer dome cover. The cover was created by using Event Vinyl on top of Blackout Vinyl. The Blackout Vinyl kept the interior space cool and dark, even under the direct sunlight.

SIB 2008 Show – Rimini, Italy

May 2, 2008

APRIL 5-8, 2008

The first event dome to be set up in Italy was at the Show Business Installation and Broadcast Technology Show/SIB 2008 in early April. Tecnodomes, srl., the Italian dealer for Pacific Domes International, hosted a custom 60 ft. dome at the Rimini Expo Centre.

Usually domes attract lots of attention, and in this case there was help from the Ferrari and Lamborghini parked out front.

Inside the dome there was a lot going on! In addition to the products being promoted within, there was a bar, a chef who put on cooking shows and some of the top Italian DJs with a live radio feed taking place each day. It was an event that happens only once every two years.
